Debris Handling
|
|
|
Cleaning up debris is typically one of the least favorite tasks involved with landscape beautification. Debris handling includes activities such as clearing
leaves, grass clippings, sand, sticks, thatch, and other forms of organic debris.
Despite the undesirable nature of these activities, debris management is essential
to landscape management. Alleviating the daunting nature of this task is simple using appropriate debris handing equipment.

Blowers
The annual task of removing fall leaves can be made easy by trading in your rake for a blower. Removing leaves may become especially difficult when leaves become wet or
are mixed with other forms of debris. Blowers take the backbreaking work out of consolidating leaves. Not all blowers are created equal.
Little Wonder has developed a walk-behind blower with a patented deflector allowing the fastest moving air to work at the heavy base of the leaf pile while the upper-level
airflow keeps the leaves herded into a centralized pile. This technology solves the blowback problem encountered with other blowers and ultimately saves you time and
frustration.
Handheld and backpack blowers are also available and provide for easy handling. RedMax developed and patented Strato-Charged engine technology featuring increased fuel
efficiency and reduced emissions. Commercial blowers provide optimal blowing with Free Flow Air Net technology. Gutter and vacuum kits are available as accessories to help
make your job easier. |

Debris vacuums help clear lawns of multiple types of debris, including stones, litter, and leaves. Vacuums allow for easy removal of debris from lawns and surrounding surfaces. Little Wonder developed a high performance vacuum that offers efficient debris reduction and promotes operator comfort. Enjoy features designed to make your job easier, including noise and dust reduction, automatic height adjustment, and an easy to unload bag.
Vacuums provide easy clean-up for landscape professionals and homeowners. Vacuums can help clean debris form flower beds and other difficult to reach areas. Debris goes from ground to bag to dump with ease and speed.

Truckloaders
Once you have gathered debris into a pile, it must be loaded for final removal from the site.
Truckloaders make this task more efficient. Loaded on your tailgate or hitched to the back of your removal truck, debris is suctioned into your removal container.
Little Wonder offers truckloaders with shredding capacity to help further efficiency. You will be able to pack in more debris, limiting dumping trips. Truckloaders come
in varying horsepower so you can choose the power level that is appropriate for your needs. |

Sweepers
Sweepers provide another way to clear debris. The rotating brush of a sweeper can pick up leaves, grass clippings, litter, and pine needles. Debris is swept into a
collection container for easy disposal. Choose between three types of sweeper designs-push, powered, and tow. Power or tow sweepers are recommended for larger areas. Push
sweepers are lighter weight and economical because they do not require fuel.
RedMax created a sweeper attachment for the Maxtreme. The Maxtreme is an ultimate
multitasking machine with five different tool attachments available. Its seven-point, splined, solid-steel drive shaft reduces vibration and delivers power where it is
needed. Sweepers can be used as an alternative to blowers in locations where blowers are not permitted due to noise ordinances. Give your yard a good combing to keep it
looking fresh with a sweeper. |

Conclusions
Debris management is a major biannual task involved in overall landscape beautification. Controlling landscape debris will not only make your landscape look
beautiful, it will help prevent pests, minimize fire risk, and create an optimal environment for landscape health.
Some forms of debris may also be gathered and used as composting material. This provides an environmentally friendly way to handle yard debris. Whether your job is big or
small, proper debris management tools will assist you in efficiently and economically managing any landscape. |
