Position Summary:
The primary focus of the Heavy Construction Sales Associate is to elevate market share and drive revenue growth within the specified region. This role demands a strategic approach to focus on the acquisition of new accounts while maintaining existing customer relationships.

Compensation:
- $50,000 – $120,000 per year
- Base plus commission with unlimited earning potential
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business within assigned region or industry.
- Assess customer needs and respond quickly.
- Cultivate a diversified customer portfolio encompassing industrial, traditional, and non-traditional accounts.
- Surpass established revenue and account growth targets.
- Collaborate seamlessly with other representatives and cross-functional departments.
- Conduct sales calls, demonstrate products and track sales activities on accounts within the specified territory.
- Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers.
- Develop a thorough understanding and perform demonstrations of assigned products and solutions.
- Quote prices, prepare proposals and provide information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates.
- Maintain a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, direct mail, email, and networking.
- Create and conduct effective proposal presentations.
- Help coordinate the development, rollout and implementation of services to clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Characteristics / Skills:
- Rental or Sales experience in construction equipment preferred.
- Excel in a fast-paced environment visiting customers in the territory daily.
- Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Client-focused, responsive, professional and sales-driven.
- Understanding of complex selling situations and negotiations; as well as consultative & strategic selling techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Project coordination and planning skills.
- Computer skills, including a working knowledge of all common software.
- Proven presentation skills with an effective sales orientation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Availability to work effectively in a hybrid / remote environment.
- Two or more years of experience selling and/or renting heavy construction equipment preferred.
- Valid drivers’ license.
