- Work on-site interacting directly with customers and providing excellent customer service, driving repeat business for equipment rental and sales
- Model and communicate the PowerPro Advantage to customers and the team
- Increase the company’s reputation and develop business growth through this working manager’s role
- Manage and restock inventory in the showroom
- Set sales goals and develop the plan and strategies for your team to meet them
- Provide daily leadership to 2 direct reports
- Give regular feedback, coaching, and performance goals
- Communicate with General Manager about your team’s development and accountability
- Maintain a clean and attractive equipment showroom
- Cultivate relationships with the top 20% of our best customers and visit them regularly
- Track financial performance and report profit/loss numbers for the sales department
- Set schedule for showroom personnel and ensure appropriate staffing during business hours and special events
- Travel 2 – 3 days per month visiting our local customers

We’re looking for a Showroom Sales Manager who has previous dealership showroom experience selling cars or equipment such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, snowblowers, construction equipment, farm equipment, power sport vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, etc.
Our Ideal Showroom Sales Manager:
- Experience: High school diploma required; Business or Marketing degree preferred. 3 years selling in a dealership setting (outdoor power equipment, lawn & garden equipment, farm equipment, power & motorsport vehicles, automotive, etc.).
- Leader: Demonstrated leadership or management experience. Someone who is proactive, responsible, organized, and has a strong work ethic and problem-solving aptitude.
- Goal-Driven: Able to set ambitious sales goals to drive business results, engage and guide your team to optimal performance while always looking for the next opportunity to excel.
- Customer-Oriented: Cultivates a positive attitude and environment, shows extreme courtesy and helpfulness toward customers.
- Collaborative: Works closely with the Store Manager, Service Department, and other sales staff to make things work more efficiently and reach goals.
- Excellent communicator: strong written and verbal skills for creating rapport with customers, explaining how the equipment works, and communicating sales goals and strategies with your team.
- Computer Skills: Proficient with MS Office products and web-based programs.
- Active: Able to lift up to 70 pounds and work in all kinds of weather since some equipment is outdoors and may need to be demonstrated in rain or snow.
- Schedule: Mon-Fri work schedule with 1 evening per week and a Saturday rotation (1-2/month during the slow season; 2-3/month during the busy April – July season)
