Healthy turf needs air. Aeration is achieved by regular spiking. Spiking breaks up incrustations on the surface, cuts through surface thatch layers, promotes gas exchange, and efficiently controls algae problems. The TERRA FLOAT is perfect for this kind of work. The TERRA FLOAT is equipped with a 3 part suspended tool roller that may be optionally fitted with spike or star shaped tools. Due to the tool roller’s swivel suspension, the spike and star shaped tool sections easily adjust to undulating terrain. Intensive contact between seed and soil is necessary for successful germination. Equally important is even, stripe free spreading of seed. The TERRA FLOAT, with its overseeding unit, meets all of these important requirements for successful overseeding. The undulating seed brush brushes the seed into the seed rows. The trailed seed roller with low pressure tires pushes the seed into the soil, promoting the close contact between seed and soil that is necessary for optimal germination.

The TERRA SLIT was specially developed for slitting, spiking, and aerating athletic fields and golf courses.

Regular deep spiking and deep aeration break up soil compaction and provide optimal conditions for healthy root growth. By breaking up compaction, the roots will deeper penetrate the soil and better absorb water and nutrients, improving the flow of water and the air balance of the soil. The TERRA SLIT with high lift knives loosens the soil to a depth of 20 cm. Depending on the degree of compaction and soil conditions, you may choose between low lift knives and high lift knives. The distance between tine rows is 75 or 150 mm, depending on the assembly.

For deep slitting, especially on golf greens, the TERRA SLIT may be equipped with fine cutting knives, reaching a working depth of 150 mm. The TERRA SLIT can do even more. Equipped with hollow tines 25 mm in diameter, the TERRA SLIT makes 80 holes per sq m in one run with 150 mm spacing between tine rows. It is perfect for cutting out thatch and also for spiking and aerating the upper soil layer (up to a depth of approximately 80 mm. For highly compacted soil, the standard supplied ballast frame may be weighted down with additional weights. On request, a hydraulic weight transfer system is available.

The SUPER 600 is a heavy duty sweeper/fraise mower/verticutter/flail mower/collection system which is similar to the Super 500; however, the SUPER 600 has approximately 80% more hopper capacity. The multipurpose head allows for sweeping, verticutting, and flail mowing while collecting clippings in a 5.9 cubic yard hopper with a high dump reach of up to 83″.

The airflow path ensures complete filling of the container. The TERRA CLEAN 100 has a ground driven rotary brush that brings debris and some crumb rubber or infill onto a mechanical vibrating screen that separates the debris from the crumb rubber. The crumb rubber is redistributed back onto the field and the debris is collected in an easily removable hopper. This machine can be used indoors or outdoors with just about any type of tow vehicle. For Intensive Cleaning and Dust Removal on Artificial Turf

The TERRA CLEAN 160 intensively cleans artificial turf surfaces as deep as 1.5 cm. Three integrated cyclone filter units clean the dust components out of the air without getting clogged. This allows the cleaning performance to remain constant. The TERRA CLEAN 160 works well in moist conditions as well as dry conditions. The debris is collected with a special sweeping brush driven by the PTO shaft and made of four brush rails which carry the debris and surface fill material onto the multiple riddle screen. This screen is supported by spring elements and consists of two interchangeable sieving levels. The sieving procedure separates the debris from reusable fill material and collects it separately into two basket units. A very quiet drum ventilator creates a vacuum in order to suck the fill material and debris into the machine. The blower sucks the dust through the sieve and into the cyclone filter where the particles are pushed out and down along the cyclone outer wall and into the dust collector. The clean air is conducted out with an exhaust air duct. The rest of the collected materials are filtered twice, creating granulate that can be reapplied to the artificial turf surface.

For seed bed preparation, special spring tines are used which open up the soil surface. The stirring shaft integrated into the galvanized seed container is driven via a V-belt by the low pressure tires of the overseeding unit. This ensures an even flow of the seed. The short distance of 5 1/2″ between seed discharge opening and the turf minimizes the risk that the seed will be blown away by the wind. For quick setting of the discharge volume or for quick seed change, the overseeding unit is equipped with a calibration trough and turning crank. The seed brush brushes the seed into the seed grooves. The trailed seed roller with low pressure tires push the seed into the soil and promote intensive contact between seed and soil. The tires have a self cleaning feature which prevents materials from accumulating on the wheels.
